The Mountain's Heart

Intoduction

Brisdur is the Rock Born city created from the largest cavern carved by Skaldi. It was first used as a meeting place for all the dwarven tribes to discuss the events of the month. Since a tribe, the Bauble Master Tribe, decided to live there as moderators of the tribes. When Skaldi made his second return to his people, he gifted the Bauble Master Tribe the ability to work copper into tools and weapons/armor, as well as the materials to work them.

Layout

The city is layed out much like the earth, with an outer ring that serves as each clan's living quarters. It is thin, like the crust, but its where the Dwarves live. The larger inner ring is where the smithing, trading, and general discussion is held. It is much like the Mantle, much larger than the crust and a place where much of the action is. In the center is the mountain's council. The council is where the heads of each clan is located and like the core it represents, it is where the most important discussions are held.

The Mote

The city is on a plateau, with natural bridges connecting it to the caves on all of its sides. Under the plateau is a massive pool of lava, composed of copper with a small hint of Iron. It is with this magma from the true heart of the mountain from which the metal that is now being developed is located. It serves as a protective barrier as well, for armies would be lost to the magma if the bridges would "accidentaly" collapse.
