Beings that are native to Diespiter and the Shadowfell. They are in a sense like devils and demons, not being true mortals. They are evil creatures who serve the Wyrmfather. They, like Shadow Dragons, are beings of darkness and are weakened by the sun. They have the power to manipulate the darkness and they leak darkness into the world. They can see in any amount of darkness. They have powerful jaws with a pair of vampiric looking fangs, and their eyes glow red. They have long powerful tongues and they can travel through the darkness and shadows. They have bent back legs, six fingers and six toes. Their ears swoop back and harden into points, creating the appearance of horns. Inferi are the shadows of humanoid mortals given dark sentience. They become real when their "host" dies, and they seek to make their mark in the world by dominating it, asserting that they are mere shadows no more. Inferi radiate an aura of fear, that makes mortal creatures with weak wills tremble and go still at their sight. Even the bravest of mortal creatures feels this effect, though the stronger willed they are, the less it will effect them. The Inferi are an actual race, there are male and female Inferi and they can breed, but sometimes when humanoid mortals die their shadows come alive and become Inferi.
